Independent rating agencies recognize Standard Life and Accident Insurance Company's financial stability.

Standard & Poor's
Standard & Poor’s has assigned a rating of A+ (Strong) to Standard Life, the fifth highest of twenty active financial strength ratings. The rating of Standard Life reflects the company’s extremely strong capitalization and very strong liquidity as well as uncertain market conditions in the Medicare Supplement Market.

A.M. Best Company
The A.M. Best Company, one of the nation's leading independent insurance rating companies, awards Standard Life it's rating of A (Excellent), third highest of 16 rating categories. Best's ratings are assigned after an extensive analysis using a series of profitability, leverage and liquidity tests, which measure performance in such vital areas as competency of underwriting, control of expenses, adequacy of reserves, soundness of investments and capital sufficiency.
